Anti-plagiarism policy
Textual & Visual Media declares its commitment to the respect and integrity of published works. For this reason, plagiarism is strictly prohibited. Any texts identified as plagiarized or containing fraudulent content will be immediately removed, with prompt and decisive action taken.
By accepting the terms and agreements expressed by our journal, authors must ensure that the article and associated materials are original and do not infringe on copyright. Authors must also justify that, in the case of shared authorship, full consensus was reached among all contributors and that the work has neither been previously submitted nor published in any other medium.
Textual & Visual Media journal takes the following anti-plagiarism measures:
• To ensure the originality of submissions, authors must include an authorship declaration along with their article submission. In this declaration, the authors affirm that the work is original, does not contain parts from other authors or fragments of previously published works by the authors without proper identification and/or citation.
• Additionally, all submitted articles will be checked using the Turnitin plagiarism detection software. Authors will receive a report if their manuscript shows a similarity index greater than 20%.
If, at any point during the editorial process, the journal detects falsification, data omission, article duplication, or plagiarism, the original manuscript will be returned to the author with proper notification to their sponsoring institution, research center, or university. Likewise, the author(s) of the original work will be informed of this situation. In cases where plagiarism is detected after publication, the journal will mark all pages of the article with the word “Retracted.”
