Abstract

This article evidences that present Political News on TV are getting less news and more show. It examines the attendances of President José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero and the Opposition Leader Mariano Rajoy to the TV program «Tengo una pregunta para usted» broadcasted —with high audiences— by TVE. This program pretends to be serious information, but its spectacular format brings it over closer to shows. The analysis evidences that the program anecdotes tuned into highlights, setting the agenda for the rest of the media, that it to say, Real-Politics subjects were ignored.
