Periodismo local y fuentes dominantes. El caso de la información sobre aeronáutica en la prensa local sevillana

Abstract

Local journalism has been among the hardest hit by the economic and journalistic field’s crisis. All this affects the texts that are published, and specially the relationship between the journalist and its sources, essential axis in press work. This paper takes as a case the three main newspapers in Seville, and follows the flight of A400M, process that developed between 2009 and 2011. Through the analysis of content and crosses of variables regarding the sources of information given in the PhD thesis, “La puesta en vuelo del A400M: estudio sobre la calidad en la prensa sevillana”, it becomes apparent how the confluence of a variety of factors produces an enforcement, and almost an exclusivity, of the involved business’s version as the main information source though the process.
