La adopción de tecnologías de inteligencia artificial por parte del personal de radio palestino para la generación y verificación de noticias: un estudio de campo de las emisoras de radio de Hebrón

Resumen

Este estudio investiga la adopción de tecnologías de inteligencia artificial (IA) por parte de profesionales de la radio en Hebrón, una importante gobernación del sur de Cisjordania, y se centra en su aplicación a la producción y verificación de noticias. A partir de los datos recopilados entre el personal de redacción de 14 emisoras locales, los resultados revelan que el uso de la IA sigue siendo impulsado de manera individual y limitado a tareas concretas, concentrándose principalmente en la generación y resumen de textos, más que en su integración dentro de sistemas institucionales. Las personas encuestadas mostraron percepciones positivas sobre el papel de la IA para acelerar la producción, aumentar la eficiencia y mejorar la calidad de los contenidos, manteniendo al mismo tiempo la supervisión humana en los procesos de verificación y en las decisiones editoriales. Sin embargo, su adopción se ve condicionada por una insuficiente capacitación técnica, escasas oportunidades de formación y la ausencia de marcos éticos y organizativos. El estudio concluye que avanzar hacia una integración sistemática de la IA en las redacciones radiofónicas palestinas exige una inversión estratégica en formación de capacidades, infraestructura digital y mecanismos claros de gobernanza que garanticen una implementación sostenible y ética.

Samer Roweshed, Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie (Al-Arroub Branch)

Samer Roweshed is a Palestinian journalist and university lecturer at Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie (Al-Arroub Branch). He completed his first PhD and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Málaga, Spain. His research interests focus on journalism, digital media, and the use of artificial intelligence in newsrooms. He is the author of four research papers and book chapters and has participated in several academic and media research projects. He also previously served as Head of the Media Technology Department at the university.

Sonia Blanco, Universidad de Málaga

Sonia Blanco is an Associate Professor at the University of Málaga, holding a PhD in Audiovisual Communication and a degree in Journalism. Her research focuses on artificial intelligence in journalism and disinformation. She is the author of more than 25 articles and several book chapters and has been a visiting professor at universities in Ireland, South Korea, Venezuela, and Colombia. She currently participates in several research projects related to AI and disinformation and leads the gen-IA project on artificial intelligence tools for multimedia content creation.

Carmen Cristofol-Rodríguez, University of Málaga

Carmen Cristófol-Rodríguez is a Full Professor at the University of Málaga, holding a PhD in Communication and a degree in Advertising and Public Relations. For more than 17 years, she has combined her teaching and research with professional work at the Prisa Group. Her research focuses on digital communication and neuromarketing. She is the author of more than 70 publications in journals, books, and book chapters and has participated in several national and international research and educational innovation projects.
