6TOROS6, an assential specialized publication in the history of Spanish journalism

Abstract

This article describes the path of 6TOROS6, a magazine created as a specialized monthly in the world of the bulls in 1991 and it gets converted in a weekly absolute reference in the information landscape bullfighting today. Finding the most important milestones of this publication highlighting some of which are also of the history of bullfighting journalism has been the main objective of this study whose methodology is essentially the analysis of the magazine and the review of the literature on the history of this type of journalism. The main conclusion of our work is to consider 6TOROS6 like a essential specialized publication not only in the history of bullfighting journalism but also the whole history of Spanish journalism.
