Abstract

On 12 June 2018, the Association of Journalists for Equality was presented in Madrid, a feminist organization of men and women, whose objectives are focused on ending the gender and salary gap in the exercise of their profession; dignifying journalism through good practices in the construction of the image of women and their presence in the media, as well as denouncing the objectification of women and the erroneous treatment of gender violence by some media. As well as recognizing good practices in journalism, they offer solutions for achieving journalism which extols and transmits to citizens the egalitarian values between women and men which should characterize any developed society, from a gender perspective.
