Abstract

This article makes a review of the new uses of photography apeared in the digital era as a consequence of the new social practices that philosophers such as Gilles Lipovetsky and Zygmunt Bauman have grouped under the name of hipermodernity or liquid modernity. The advent of digital technology has caused changes in the camera itself, but also in the author and the public exhibition of the photographs. Thus, new uses are explained as the search for photographic aesthetics of chance, narcissism, photography as a recreation of identity in Iternet social networks, photography as a game, photography as memory and story of the own lifes and the use of photography as a legitimation.
