Abstract

The use of e-learning platforms to help teaching has increased markedly in the Spanish university in recent years. The analysis of the implemetation of these e-learning tools in the teaching of journalism in the Faculty of Communication of the the University of the Basque Country is the subject of this article. 236 courses was off ered across theses platforms during the last academic year. However, the main profi t given to e-learning tools is still using them as containers for notes and other teaching materials. So, its influence on the process of learning is limited. In addition, the answers to a survey sent to teachers of the Faculty show that over a quarter of them have not yet begun tu use these platforms.
